Why Your Body Needs A Tune Up

Our lives are always exposed to daily stressors, but unlike the machines or engines we use; we rarely take the time to get a tune-up until it’s way too late.

The toxic load from our environment, from the air, water, soil and food source etc., has not helped either. We are slowly aging at an accelerated rate and getting sicker to boot! Even the jobs we do requires more time sitting in front of a desk all day staring at a computer screen, then spend it later in the day, sitting again, in a bumper to bumper car traffic, no thanks to a long commute.

Signs That You Need A Tune Up

 • Skin Problems
 • Insomnia
 • Dry and chapped lips
 • Cracked and discolored nails
 • Irregular Bowel movements
 • Painful Joints
 • Change of appetite
 • Sudden weight loss
 • Persistent coughs, colds
 • Problems with Urination
 • Constant Tiredness and Lethargy

How To Stop The Cycle?

Choosing a healthy lifestyle to mitigate stressors is the key. Take the time to move around instead of sitting down for hours, the human body was never designed to sit all the day, movement is encouraged to maintain health. Spending less time with gadgets to have more time for physical activities, interacting with others and less time hunched-over a small screen improves spine and brain health. The hours you spend on electronic gadgets ought to be spent on healthy eating and sleeping on time. For more information, check out this article about the dangers of too much gadget time for children.

Oftentimes patients have no idea how dysfunctional their spine is nor how the damaged the natural curve of a healthy back by slouching, until they experience so much pain! Pain in the brain is also the absolute last result of a longstanding dysfunction. Poor body mechanics brought about by daily stressors results in dysfunction of the spine and eventually leads to pain.

We can do better to help our bodies get “back in action”. Stretching or rolling out on the AZE roller will help but in order to get the body moving, and getting tuned up is the key. It is unrealistic to think your body would never compensate for week after week of long work hours or stressful school days, long commutes or even an extensive screen time. Just being on your phone for long periods of time or children playing xbox for hours on end lead to a dysfunction of overall health.

If you are experiencing persistent pain, get a chiropractic evaluation, an adjustment to eliminate those spinal compensations could go to a long way to get the spine working again in one synchronizing unit.
