Nutritional Protocol

If you are reading this, welcome to the start of a better YOU! If you’ve just started a nutritional protocol or you’re considering starting one, here are a couple of concepts to jumpstart your exciting journey.

Oftentimes, we allow our nutritional health to degrade until it becomes a new norm of sickness.  We as patients become so sick that we just get used to it. When starting a nutritional protocol it’s important to know the whys behind adding in nutritional supplements.  The nutrients in our food sources have been challenged over the past 20 years and our lifestyles are unable to sustain optimal food choices all the time. With these 2 facts, it’s critical to supplement your diet with nutrients you are missing.

With that understanding, when you start on your nutritional protocol, keep this in mind, Rome was not built in a day; if it took you so many years to have a poor diet, than it’s a process to get you back to a healthy sustainable diet.  We recommend small wins with consistency over time, those compounded into one big win = a healthy nutritional diet that is sustainable over time. The alternative which we see all too often is an unsustainable diet and a classic “yo-yo effect” for you as the patient; this will end in frustration for everyone concerned.  Remember, when you start your protocol, be patient and most importantly remember these 3 principles.

1. In the first week to 10 days starting your protocol, if there is no change, you are on the wrong protocol.

2. If you are on a detoxifying protocol you will typically feel worse in the first 3 to 6 days before feeling better; if you are on non-detoxifying protocol and you feel worse, you are not on the right protocol.

3. If you are feeling better in the first 7 to 10 days than absolutely, YOU ARE ON THE RIGHT PROTOCOL.
